Virtual machine image changed

A few weeks ago I tried the mangOH virtual machine. Yesterday I downloaded it again from the mangOH site. After the install process the ubuntu environment looked less complete. Most programs and folders where missing. Can anybody explain why?

The previous mangOH VM originated before leaf existed. This means that managing the toolchains was quite error prone. Now that leaf packages are available, the previous VM wasn’t really solving a problem that needed to be solved anymore. So now the VM is much more stripped down. It’s basically just a barebones Ubuntu 18.04 with Leaf installed. Please take a look at the updated mangOH Red Getting Started Guide to get up to speed with the new VM.

Hey dfrey,

Thanks for your reply. I am using windows 10 with Ubuntu app, vs-code legato extension and Leaf now! Leaf works great!
