USB-LAN (linux host) problem ping working only 17 requests

#1

Strange behavior with ping and ssh : works only from time to time.

for ping, we are able to reproduce (100%) as follow
starting with sierra wireless not connect from the VM USB perihperals

  • from the VM : ping 192.168.2.2 : no response
  • connect the sirra wireless
-disconnect it : the ping is now responding but stop after 17 requests . have to connect and disconnect the sierra from ths usb peripherals

kill the ping, issue the command again

ssh of course works only during the time qhere the ping is responding …

Host : kubuntu 18.04
lsusb : Bus 003 Device 067: ID 1199:68c0 Sierra Wireless, Inc.

Any idea to solve ?

is not an issue with the VM, but with the unix host … have the same behavior when using ping or ssh from the Unix host. Any firmware update to apply on the board, or specific requirements on the linux hosts (kubuntu 18.04) ?
