FX30 connecting USB over Ubuntu VM

Hi
I downloaded Ubuntu (18.04) VM from Mangoh website into Virtual Box 6 and got the compiling working but I am having trouble SSHing into the device over USB. I added a USB filter for the device and am using the NAT network config with the cable connected check.

Output from ssh
mangoh@mangoh-vm:/$ ssh -v root@192.168.2.2

Do you have installed the latest Sierra usb driver on your pc ?

I have a qmi driver installed on my linux VM but nothing installed on my windows host machine ill post the version when I’m at my PC

Used usb-devices isn’t the driver qmi_wwan

I got the network Manager to add usb0 by adding 70-persistent-net.rules which gave me the eth0/usb0 names and I also changed the NetworkManager.conf file to manage eth0 and usb0 but USB ethernet is just stuck connecting not sure if this is a step in the right direction.

usb0 also has no ipv4 but eth0 has an ip of inet 10.0.2.15 with netmask 255.255.255.0 and I am still using NAT network type in virtual box

usb0: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
ether 2e:9c:1d:b7:09:37 txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet)

RX errors 5836 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0
TX packets 0 bytes 0 (0.0 B)
TX errors 54 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0

Changed my drivers to gobinet/gobiserial and black listed the old qc_serial/qmi_ether still usb0 is still stuck connecting in network manager

Hey I seem to have fixed the issue. Not entirely sure but I downloaded new windows drivers for fx30 and it fixed it on the VM as well. Thanks
